All Banter salutes judge at Morphettville.
Mungrup Stud-based I'm All The Talk (Stratum) was on Saturday provided with his fourth first-crop winner courtesy of the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained All Banter's (2 f ex Bantry Bay by Tale Of The Cat) victory in the Winning Edge Presentation 2YO Handicap (2000m) at Morphettville.
The filly came into the race having run second on debut at Murray Bridge last month, but she was able to go one better on Saturday, beating Winning Weather (Night Of Thunder) by a quarter of a length with the same distance back to Daily Spirit (Zebedee) in third.
Purchased by her trainers for $30,000 at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale in 2019, the filly is the sixth winner out of Group 3-winning mare Bantry Bay, while further afield this is the family of Group 3-winning pair Koonoomoo (Dubleo) and Western Chorus (Western Symphony) and Listed-scoring duo Jeune King Prawn (Danehill) and Creative Plan (Flying Spur).
The filly's sister was purchased by the Jollys and Peter Caporn for $65,000 at this year's Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale. In 2019 she produced a filly by All The Talk's barnmate A Lot (Tapit) and she was covered by the son of Tapit (Pulpit) last November.
Earlier in the week, Mungrup Stud announced it would be closing and said they were in talks about where their three stallions would continue their careers.
