Madam Torio filly runs out ready winner at Belmont.
I'm All The Talk (Stratum) continued his good season as his daughter Madam Torio (2 f ex Sorbatorio by Oratorio) landed the Amelia Park 2YO Plate (1000m) at Belmont on Wednesday providing the Mungrup Stud-based sire with his fifth first crop winner.
The Chris Parnham-trained two-year-old outclassed her rivals, pulling clear to beat Snipillicious (Snippetson) by five and three quarter lengths, while Iron Sharp (Written Tycoon) was another half a length further back in third.
Purchased by Martin Allan at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale for $9,000, Madam Torio is the first living foal out of the unraced Sorbatorio (Oratorio), who is herself a half-sister to Group 2 winner No Questions (Xaar) and Listed scorer French Favorite (Favorite Trick) and the dam of Listed winner Zarantz (Choisir).
Further back the filly hails from the family of Listed-winning duo Sorbonne (Alleged) and The Chieftain (Song Of Tara).
In 2019 Sorbatorio produced a colt by I'm All The Talk's barnmate Playing God (Blackfriars) and she was most recently covered by fellow Mungrup Stud-based sire A Lot (Tapit).
I'm All The Talk five winners first-crop are headed by Group 3 winner Watch Me Dance.
Last week, Mungrup Stud announced it would be closing and said they were in talks about where their three stallions would continue their careers.
