Newgate Farm-based sire Super One (I Am Invincible) sired his sixth first-crop winner on Saturday courtesy of the well-related Shadow Chaser's (2 c ex Snow Flight by Colombia) victory in the Superior Hire Cars Maiden Handicap (1200m) at Kembla Grange.

Trained by Michael and Richard Freedman, the two-year-old colt beat Waihora Jewel (Trusting) by a quarter of a length with another neck back to Ma Bella Rosie (Sidestep) in third.

Purchased by China Horse Club and Michael Freedman for $300,000 - the most ever paid for a yearling by the sire - at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in 2019, the two-year-old colt is out of five time-winning mare Snow Flight (Colombia), who is also the dam of dual Group 1 winner Viddora (I Am Invincible) and a further two winners.

Viddora herself is set to be offered at next month's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale by Newgate Farm as agent and she is in foal to top-class European stallion Lope De Vega (Shamardal) on a September cover.

In 2019 Snow Flight produced a filly by I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) and she has most recently been covered by I Am Invincible's son and barnamate Hellbent.

Shadow Chaser joins Lucky Shadow, Another One, Chuisle, Superbellaa and Bedazzle as the stallion's other winners and he will stand the upcoming breeding season at Newgate Farm for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST).
