he Paul Perry-trained La Jolie Fille (2 f ex Lolavie by Stratum) broke her maiden at the fifth time of asking in the Doylo Maiden Plate (1350m) at Wyong on Thursday and in the process became Newgate Farm-based stallion's Super One's (I Am Invincible) seventh first-crop winner.

The two-year-old filly, who was the only juvenile in the field, stayed on all the way to line to beat Pitchfork (All Too Hard) by a long-neck with another four and three quarter lengths back to Avostar (Kuroshio) in third.

A $10,000 Inglis Scone Yearling purchase for her trainer from the Noogee Park draft, La Jolie Fille is out of the six-time winning Stratum (Redoute's Choice) mare Lolavie who is a half-sister to South African stakes-placed gelding Royal Arrow (Royal Academy).

The filly's third dam is Social Whirl (Mighty Kingdom) who produced six winners including Listed winner Hissy Fit (Octagonal) and the dam of 2012 Myer Classic (registered as Empire Rose Stakes) (Gr 1, 1600m) Appearance (Commands), who won three other races at the highest level, and Listed scorer Mascareri (Commands).

Last year Lolavie produced a colt by Press Statement (Hinchinbrook) and she then missed after being covered again by Super One.

Super One will stand for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) in 2020.
