The Danny Bougoure-trained Azzareach (2 c ex Mini by Reset) made a winning debut in the Vale Ethel Kerrison Maiden 2YO Handicap (900m) at the Gold Coast on Saturday and in the process became the Widden Stud-based Outreach's (Exceed And Excel) fifth winner.

The two-year-old colt pulled clear to beat The Darling (Spirit Of Boom) by a length and a quarter with another half a length back to Electric Dragon (Hidden Dragon) in third.

Purchased by his trainer for $34,000 from the Lucas Bloodstock draft at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale, Azzareach is the second winner out of Mini (Reset).

Mini herself is a half-sister to dual Listed winner Morvada (Mossman).

Further back this dual Group 1-winner Zonda (Zabeel), fellow elite level winners Surprize Surprize (Prized) and Dixie Blossoms (Street Sense), Group 2 winner Magnolia Hall (Noble Bijou) and Man Of Honour (Noble Bijou).

In 2018 Mini produced a colt by the late stallion Real Saga (Tale Of The Cat).

Azzareach joins State Of Class, Pee Dee, Outreach Belle and Rose Sauvage as the stallion's other winners and he will stand at stud for a fee of $5,500 (inc GST) in 2020.
