The Jason Warren-trained Diesel 'N' Dust (2 g ex Mooshakissa by Duporth) ran out an impressive winner of the Bill Tilley for Benambra Maiden Plate (1100m) at Wodonga on Sunday and in the process became Pride Of Dubai's (Street Cry) 12th winner.

Having the sixth start of his career, Diesel 'N' Dust pulled clear in the final stages to beat Clinched (Dundeel) by three and a quarter lengths with another three quarters of a length back to Jet Jackson (Smart Missile) in third.

Purchased by his trainer for $15,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, the colt is out of winning mare Mooshakissa (Duporth), who is herself a half-sister to Group 3 winner Broadband (Sebring).

Further back, the colt's third dam is Volted In (Rory's Jester), who is herself the grandam of dual Group 1 winner Yourdeel (Dundeel).

The colt also shares a page with Oakleigh Plate (Gr 1, 1100m) winner Drum (Marauding) and Australasian Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Anamato (Redoute's Choice), while this is also the family of Grand Armee (Hennessy).

Mooshakissa's 2018 filly by Pride Of Dubai was sold to Ian Heilig as a foal for $6,000 on the 2019 William Inglis Digital March Sale, before being snapped up by trainer Nick Olive for $75,000 at the 2020 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and in 2019 she produced another filly by the son of Street Cry (Machiavellian).

Pride Of Dubai - who shuttled to Coolmore's Irish base for three seasons - sired his second northern hemisphere bred winner on Saturday when Fancy Man broke his maiden tag at Haydock.

Pride Of Dubai's winners are headed by his Listed-winning son Tanker and it also includes the stakes placed pair Bella Nipotina and Dubai Star. He sits at the head of the leading first season sires table by earnings in Australia with progeny earnings of $1,295,198, over $300,000 clear of his nearest rival.
