The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Tyche Goddess (2 f Teofilo - Cornelia Marie by Reset) shed her maiden tag at the first time of asking when she landed the Vale Rob Gaylard Maiden Plate (1400m) at Bendigo on Wednesday.

The two-year-old filly came out on top of a tight finish with Let's Karaka Deel (Dundeel), beating him by a nose, while Sippity Sup (Sebring) was another two and three quarter lengths further away in third.

The filly was passed in at the 2019 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale after failing to make her $100,000 reserve and she is the second winner out of Oaklands Stakes (Listed, 1100m) winner Cornelia Maria (Reset), who is herself a half-sister fellow Listed scorer Chitabe (Perugino).

Further afield this is the same family as Bobbie Lewis Handicap (Gr 3, 1200m) winner Great Condor (Rubiton), fellow Group 3 scorer Due Sasso (Scenic) and Atlantic Road (Street Cry), who won at Listed level.

Cornelia Marie's 2018 Street Boss (Street Cry) filly was purchased by Lindsay Park for $50,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Gold Yearling Sale earlier in the month and she has most recently been covered by Darley's stalwart stallion Lonhro (Octagonal).

Teofilo shuttled to Darley Australia for six seasons and his progeny is headed by 17 Group 1 winners, including Kermadec, who stands at Darley's Kelvinside base and Sun Stud-based Palentino.

The son of Galileo (Sadler's Wells) stood at Darley's Kildangan Stud base for a fee of €40,000 in 2020.
