The Colin Little-trained Sublime Diva (4 m Brazen Beau - Makybe Diva by Desert King) became the sixth winner for multiple Group 1-winning champion mare Makybe Diva (Desert King) when she shed her maiden status at the sixth time of asking with a victory in the Ladbrokes Back Yourself Maiden Plate (2219m) at Sale on Thursday.

The four-year-old daughter of Darley stallion Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) beat Debullet (Bullet Train) by two lengths, while Road To Blue Sky (Road To Rock) finished another four lengths away in third.

Makybe Diva - whose 15 victories included three Melbourne Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) - has produced six foals to race, who have all been winners, headed by stakes-placed filly Divanation (All Too Hard).

Makybe Diva herself is a half-sister to Group 2 winner Musket (Redoute's Choice), Listed winner La Amistad (Redoute's Choice) and Valkyrie Diva (Jade Robbery), who in turn produced dual Group 3 winner Wonder Kid (Lonhro) and Listed-winning pair C'est Beau La Vie (Bernardini) and Wales (Redoute's Choice).

Makybe Diva's 2018 filly foal by Written Tycoon (Iglesia) was purchased by Viking Racing/DGR T/bred Services for $500,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling earlier this year and she produced a filly by former Vinery shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo) in 2019.

Brazen Beau will stand at Darley's Northwood Park base for a fee of $49,500 (inc GST) in 2020.
