Coolmore Stud's Vancouver (Medaglia d'Oro) continued his good form when his son Ice In Vancouver (3 g ex Skating On Ice by Bradbury's Luck) broke his maiden over 1000 metres at Scone on Tuesday.

The Cody Morgan-trained three-year-old gelding scooted clear in the closing stages to beat Leave Me Be (Nicconi) by three and three quarter lengths, while Belle Reve (I Am Invincible) finished another length and a half further back in third.

Ice In Vancouver is the third winner out of eight time winning Bradbury's Luck (Redoute's Choice) mare Skating On Ice, who was placed at Group 3 and Listed level.

Skating On Ice is herself out of winning Brave Warrior (Cossack Warrior) mare Elite Warrior, who is the dam of seven winners.

Further back this is the family of Listed winner Check That Style (Delgado), who was also placed in the Adelaide Cup (Gr 1, 3200m).

Skating On Ice's colt by Arrowfield Stud shuttler Shalaa (Invincible Spirit) - now named Hunnam - was purchased by Redwall Bloodstock for $150,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale and was then snapped up by Jamie Piggot's Ardross Bloodstock for $400,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale earlier this year.

Skating On Ice foaled a filly by Darley's young stallion Impending (Lonhro) in 2019 and then was not served.

Vancouver has sired five new individual winners in August - including two in America - which has seen his overall tally of winners move to 19 and he will stand the upcoming breeding season at Coolmore's Hunter Valley base for a fee of $30,250 (inc GST).
