The Archie Alexander-trained No Restriction (3 f ex Zumbarina by Zabeel) ran out a ready winner of the Desirable Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at Flemington on Tuesday and in the process handed late Three Bridges Thoroughbreds-based sire Unencumbered (Testa Rossa) with his third stakes winner.

The three-year-old filly stayed on well to beat Pride Of Jenni (Pride Of Dubai) by a length, while Ripper Rita (Street Boss) was another neck away in third.

"It's a fantastic week and every trainer wants to be here," said Alexander. "I'm delighted for the owners. There's some really good owners in the horse. She was bred by Three Bridges who are good friends.

"She's always been a little bit spooky and green. She can get pulling, like she did today. We thought the blinkers were too much, the winkers were half-way and the faster they went, the better they went. I thought at least she'll settle and flow, but you never really see a pattern coming out the way you imagine it.

"We won't make any decisions today, it's always hard on a race day, but I think we'll go to the paddock. I'm leaning towards the paddock, she's not overly big and she's done a good job today."

The filly was purchased by his trainer and Rogers Bloodstock for $90,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft and she is one of five winners out of unraced Zabeel (Sir Tristram) mare Zumbarina, who is herself a three-quarters sister to multiple Group 1 winning stayer Might And Power.

No Restriction's third dam is stakes-placed mare Benediction (Day Is Done) and she is also the dam of Group 3 winner Matter Of Honour (Casual Lies) and Listed scorer Bastet (Giant's Causeway), who in turn produced Group 1 winner Beauty Parlour (Deep Impact) - the dam of Listed scorer Blowout (Dansili).

Further back this is also the same family as late dual Group 2-winning sire Time For War (Snitzel) and multiple Group 1 winner Mosheen (Fastnet Rock) - the dam of multiple Grade 3 winner Primo Scene (Deep Impact).

Zumbarina's 2018 colt by Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible) was purchased for $90,000 via the 2019 Inglis Digital March Monthly Sale, while the colt was purchased by Seco Thoroughbreds for for $20,000 at the 2019 Inglis Great Southern Weanling & Bloodstock Sale and then he was sold to Agile Thoroughbreds for $20,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale. In 2019 the mare produced a filly by Swettenham Stud shuttler Toronado (High Chaparral).

No Restriction joins Group 3-winning pair Mirette and Felicia as the stallion's other stakes winners and he died in 2018.
