The Annabel Neasham-trained Stoltz (3 g More Than Ready - Decelerator by Dehere) scored an impressive victory at Wyong on Thursday and in the process provided his American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) half-sister with a timely update ahead of her going through the ring at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale next year.

Last seen running second on his first start for Neasham, having had one run as a two-year-old for Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, the son of former Vinery Stud shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo) showed a good turn of foot to breeze to the front to post a three-quarter length victory over Pacific Ocean (Shooting To Win). Zouly (Zoustar) was another length away in third.

Stoltz was purchased by Pamsel Investments and James Clarke for $200,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the Kia Ora Stud draft and she is out of American Grade 3 winner Decelerator (Dehere), who was herself purchased by James Bester for US$300,000 at the Fasig Tipton Fall Mixed Sale in 2011.

Decelerator has now produced three winners with her progeny headed by South African Grade 2 scorer Nafaayes (Exceed And Excel).

The gelding's third dam is Grade 1 winner Fabulous Notion (Somethingfabulous), who in turn produced Grade 1 scorer Fabulously Fast (Deputy Minister) and further back this is the same family as City Of Light (Quality Road), who won the 2019 edition of the lucrative Pegasus World Cup (Gr 1, 9f).

Kia Ora will offer Stoltz's aforementioned American Pharoah half-sister as Lot 214 on the Gold Coast next year.
