Bleriot breaks maiden at Morphettville
The Aquis Farm-based first-season stallion Divine Prophet (Choisir) was represented by his first winner when Bleriot (2 f ex Jetting To London by Jet Spur) shed her maiden status at the third time of asking when she landed the Adelaide Galvanising 2YO Plate (1050m) at Morphettville.
The Will Clarken-trained two-year-old filly had finished second on her two previous starts and she finally got her head in front when beating Elteecee (Pierro) by a decisive three-quarters of a length, while Cassowary (Stratum Star) was another two and a half lengths away in third.
Purchased by his trainer and JS Bloodstock Consultancy for $160,000 at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the Aquis Farm draft, Bleriot is out of Listed-placed Jet Spur (Flying Spur) mare Jetting To London.
The filly’s third dam is London Lights (Bletchingly) and she is also the dam of Group scorer Only A Lady (Sir Tristram) - the dam of Listed scorer Redwood Falls (Woodman).
London Nights also produced Listed-winning duo Smoko (Snitzel) and Lisson Grove (Dehere), as well as the dam of Group 3 winner Faraway Town (Not A Single Doubt).
Jetting To London’s 2019 filly by Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill) was purchased for $4,250 via Inglis Digital May Sale earlier this year and she has most recently been covered by Divine Prophet’s barnmate Dubious (Not A Single Doubt).
Divine Prophet has 12 lots catalogued as next month’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
