Aquis Farm first-season sire Divine Prophet (Choisir) was responsible for an impressive trial winner at the Gold Coast on Tuesday as Angel Like (2 f ex Anna House by Awesome Again) landed her 1000 metre trial.

Trained by Kacy Fogden, the filly was quickly out of the blocks, before being settled in third by Mark Du Plessis.

As the field rounded the turn, Tenacity Jane (Dream Ahead) had put daylight between her and the rest of the field, but Angel Like showed an impressive turn of foot to run-down the leader, to post a half a length victory over Immediate Response (Defcon) - who ran on well for second. The winning time was 1.01.22 seconds.

Bred and owned by Aquis Farm, the filly is out of placed mare Anna House (Awesome Again) who was bought by Stonestreet Stables for US$600,000 at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale.

Anna House herself is a half-sister to six winners including Listed winner Spicer Boy (Lemon Drop Kid), as well as Grade 3 scorer Charity Belle (Empire Maker) - the dam of Grade 3 scorer Alms (City Zip) and stakes winner Hallie Belle (Medaglia d’Oro).

Divine Prophet has sired one winner from just five starters in Australia and the son of Choisir (Danehill Dancer) has 12 lots catalogued at next week’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
