Godolphin-owned daughter of Hallowed Crown scores at Warwick Farm
Well-bred Godolphin-raced filly Flexible (3 f Hallowed Crown - Dextrous by Quest For Fame) got her head in front at the third attempt when she broke her maiden over 1200 metres at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Trained by James Cummings and last seen finished second over 1300 metres at the same track, Flexible showed a good turn of foot to put a length and three-quarters between her and her closest rival Good Omens (So You Think). All That Sass (Hinchinbrook) was another three lengths further away in third.
The daughter of Twin Hills Stud-based sire Hallowed Crown (Street Sense) is out of 2002 Sandown Guineas (Gr 2, 1600m) winner Dextrous (Quest For Fame), making her a half-sister to 2010 Champagne Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Skilled (Commands), dual Group 2 scorer and now Telemon Thoroughbreds-based sire Sidestep (Exceed And Excel) as well as Ambidexter (Commands), whose best win came in the 2012 edition of the Theo Marks Stakes (Gr 2, 1300m).
Further back the filly’s third dam is stakes-placed Many Hands (Handy Proverb) - the grandam of Group 3 winner Proverb (Commands).
Hallowed Crown - who was relocated to Twin Hills Stud last season - has four colts catalogued at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, which gets underway in Sydney on 7 February.
