Le Vizir becomes the fourth winner from only five runners in Australia for the Aga Khan Stud-based sire
Le Vizir (3 c ex Shakeyourbody by Giant’s Causeway) broke his maiden in the Sky Racing Metro & Provincial Maiden (1350m) at Wyong on Thursday and in doing so became the fourth winner, from only five runners in Australia, for Aga Khan Studs based sire Siyouni (Pivotal).
Le Vizir was bought for $260,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale by Bennelong Bloodstock from the draft of Sledmere Stud. Having his third career start, he broke well from the barriers under Robbie Dolan and went straight to the lead. Asked to quicken rounding the home turn, he responded and pulled clear in the closing stages to score a nice victory. The Bjorn Baker-trained favourite Lady Of Luxury (Criterion) was beaten three quarters of a length for second, with another length and a half back to Our Flaming Moes (Sizzling) in third.
Le Vizir becomes the fourth winner for winning Giant’s Causeway (Storm Cat) mare Shakeyourbody who is also the dam of Group 3 winners Siyoushake (Siyouni) and the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Skyward (Camelot). This is also the family of Grade 1 winner and sire Frost Giant (Giant’s Causeway).
Siyouni has two lots catalogued for the forthcoming Inglis Premier Yearling Sale which gets underway on Sunday. The sire of 43 stakes winners and six Group 1 winners overall, Siyouni’s runners in Australia include Group 2 winner Alymerton and the Group 2 placed pair See You Soon and Direct. He is currently standing for a fee of €140,000 at Haras de Bonneval in Normandy.
