Figures up at Premier, sole Lord Kanaloa offering tops day two, Ciaron Maher Racing leading buyer and Blue Gum Farm lead the vendors table

1. Day Two of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale saw further gains in particular the average increasing 13% on last year to sit on $143,196. The median remains unchanged on $110,000.

2. Written Tycoon is leading sire by aggregate with 14 yearlings grossing $3,600,000, while I Am Invincible is leading sire by average with six yearlings registering an average price of $325,000.

3. Ciaron Maher Racing ended the day as leading purchasers signing for 13 yearlings, including the top lot of Day Two, a Lord Kanaloa colt for $900,000, for an outlay of $3,270,000.

4. Blue Gum Farm is leading vendor by aggregate with 23 yearlings realising $4,925,000. While Glentree Thoroughbreds are the leading vendor by average with six selling for an average of price of $330,000.

5. Domestic buyers were again to the fore with Victorian based buyers having 67.9% of the market share and NSW based 19.3%. Hong Kong buyers are significantly down with a market share of 4.8% down from 11.2% last year. 

6. The most significant gains have come in the top 10% of the market which say a 34% increase in average price to $427,375. This growth was predominately for top end colts with the top decile rising 43.1% to an average price of $475,000. 

7. Golden Slipper winner Farnan won his second barrier trial this preparation at Gosford on Monday. 

8. Lunar Fox, Star Of The Seas, Shout The Bar, Mugatoo and Streets Of Avalon have been announced as the wildcard entrants for the All-Star Mile.

9. The William Haggas-trained Addeybb and Favourite Moon have arrived in Sydney ahead of their participation in The Championships.

10. Everest winner Classique Legend won a barrier trial at Conghua on Monday. He is due to run next in the Splint Cup (Gr 2, 1200m) at Sha Tin on April 5.
