Unbeaten colt Stay Inside (Extreme Choice) will look to further enhance his Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) credentials when he lines up in the Todman Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Trained by Michael and Richard Freedman, the son of Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt) is unbeaten in two starts, prompting Newgate Farm to buy into the colt and the Todman will be the stiffest test Stay Inside has faced to date, with him set to line-up against fellow unbeaten colt Profiteer (Capitalist).

Stay Inside has drawn barrier eight in the nine-horse field and will be partnered by James McDonald while Profiteer has drawn the inside gate and will be ridden by Hugh Bowman and Remarque (Snitzel) is in barrier two.

"It would be a really nice race to be able to win on the way through but it's not the grand final,'' Freedman said.

"The barrier isn't ideal with the other two favourites drawn one and two, being out in seven of eight does make it a little more awkward even though it's a small field.

"The grand final is in two weeks' time. You'd like to see your horse run well to give you the confidence that in two weeks you're not wasting your time. There've been plenty of Slipper winners come out as placegetters and beaten favourites in Todmans.

"He's a very tractable colt, he has a lovely demeanour about him and it's nice going into any race with a horse you can ride where you need to depending on how the race is run."
