Having sent out Kiamichi (Sidestep) to win the Golden Slipper Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) in 2019, James Cummings will be aiming to train his second winner of the coveted Group 1 when he saddles Anamoe (Street Boss) and Ingratiating (Frosted) in the Rosehill Group 1 on Saturday.

Last start Todman Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) winner Anamoe and Ingratiating, who landed the Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (Listed, 1000m) on debut in October and Talindert Stakes (Listed, 1100m) last month, finished second and third respectively behind Artorius (Flying Artie) in the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) on February 20.

Cummings is confident the pair can reverse the form with the Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained son of Flying Artie (Artie Schiller) in the Group 1.

"Both our colts that are running in the Slipper are coming out of that race (the Blue Diamond). Interesting to see that not one of the trifecta of the Blue Diamond are in single figures at the moment in the betting," Cummings told Racing.com.

"But I dare say that the opposition are quite respectful of it, considering the third placegetter of the Blue Diamond came straight to the Todman and toppled the two race favourites.

"That gives as good an indication as any that on a Good track, at his first Sydney run, that Anamoe was able to vindicate the form of the Blue Diamond. That form is absolutely critical to our chances."

Ingratiating was last seen running fifth behind Shaquero (Shalaa) in the Pago Pago Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) and Cummings was happy with that performance.

"The winner was very good," Cummings said of the Pago Pago.

"He's a Magic Millions winner, so take nothing away from him, but I thought Ingratiating getting home strongly, 1.2 lengths away, was a good effort.

"I liked that he claimed one right on the line to show that he was still building. With the blinkers back on he will be a good chance to improve on that effort."
