Multiple Group 1 winner Verry Elleegant (Zed) could be set for a trip to France, with the ownership group keen to see the daughter of Zed (Zabeel) run in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr 1, 2400m).

The idea of the mare contesting the Group 1 had been floated earlier in the season and part-owner Brae Sokolski said her trainer was beginning to embrace the idea of a trip to France.

"The rest of the ownership group is on board if it can be done and I know Chris (Waller) is warming to the prospect of putting her on the world stage," Sokolski told Racing.com.

"They are lofty ambitions we have for her on the global stage, but the time will be absolutely right for her. She'll be a six-year-old mare at the peak of her powers going to her best distance and likely on a suitable wet surface.

"There just isn't much left for her in the spring here. She's out of the handicaps and we're not certain of her around The Valley (Cox Plate)."

Verry Elleegant will clash with Addeybb (Pivotal) in Saturday's Ranvet Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) and then again in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) two weeks' later, before she is sent for a spell.

"There is a lot of water to go under the bridge before we get there (Europe) because it is not a well-worn path we will be taking," he said. "It's something we've got to put into action ourselves to create our own path and while that makes it more challenging, it is also more exciting."

Meanwhile, Sokolski also revealed his Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m) winner Sir Dragonet (Camelot) will likely line up in the Ranvet Stakes on Saturday.

"He's likely to run this week in the Ranvet as he's likely to get the track condition to help him put in his best performance," Sokolski said.

"His two runs in Melbourne were disappointing and he'd have to show us something there on Saturday to press on (with the campaign). He gets the true litmus test there on Saturday."
