Owner Bob Peters has decided not to run Arcadia Queen (Pierro) in either this weekend's George Ryder Stakes (Gr 1, 1500m) or the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) at Randwick on April 17.

With the prospect of another sodden track this weekend, the Grant and Alana Williams-trained daughter of Pierro (Lonhro) will run in the next Saturday's Emancipation Stakes (Gr 2, 1500m) and then tackle the Coolmore Legacy Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) at Randwick on Queen Elizabeth Stakes day.

"I'd just prefer to take the chance that the next track will be a bit better," Peters told Racing.com. "I don't think that track up there us going to be as good as they hope.

"It's tempting as it's a lot more money on offer this week, but we have to worry about her and not the money."

Arcadia Queen's preparation has been interrupted due to a heel complaint that meant she was scratched from the All-Star Mile (1600m) at the 11th hour and Peters said the mare was always going to find it difficult to get to the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

"Once she missed the All-Star Mile, SM, she's been on the back foot ever since," he said.

"It's just unfortunate the way it has gone. When we couldn't make the 2000 metres race last week (Ranvet), we were always going to struggle to get to the Queen Elizabeth as there is no real grounding or lead-up races to get to the Queen Elizabeth.

"It's three weeks between runs anyway and if you are not ready for the first one, the second one is not really doable.

"She still has a job to do to win the Emancipation with top weight coming off that break (since February 20's Futurity Stakes).

"These races are two weeks apart, not three, and she will get benefit out of the Emancipation going into the Group 1."
