Addeybb (Pivotal) is under an injury cloud ahead of Saturday’s Ranvet Stakes (registered as Rawson Stakes) (Gr 1, 2000m) after the international rader was found to be slightly lame by a Racing NSW vet on Friday morning.

The William Haggas-trained gelding won last year’s race and then went on to win the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Gr 1, 2000m) during his first trip to Australia and after completing light work on Friday morning, Addeybb was inspected by Racing NSW vet Dr Toby Koenig who found the gelding to be ⅕ lame in his near fore leg, with a mildly increased digital pulse in the near fore foot.

Isabella Paul, stable representative for William Haggas, told stewards that she thought the mild lameness had been caused by Addeybb recently being shod and the stable are confident that the seven-year-old will be fine on Saturday morning. Koenig will inspect Addeybb prior to final scratching time on Saturday morning.
