Trainer James Cummings and Godolphin dominated the juvenile ranks on Saturday, as the powerhouse operation produced three two-year-old winners headed by Anamoe's (2 c ex Anamato by Redoute's Choice) victory in the ATC Inglis Produce Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) at Randwick to become the third Australian Group 1 winner and eighth overall for Darley shuttler Street Boss (Street Cry).

Ridden by James McDonald - who was chalking up his 50th win at elite level - Anamoe was settled in midfield, before showing an explosive turn of foot, being eased down on the line to beat Hilal (Fastnet Rock) by two and three quarter lengths. Captivant (Capitalist) was another head away in third.

It was a much deserved Group 1 win for Anamoe, with the colt having run consistently well all year, with his first victory coming on his second start in the Merson Cooper Stakes (Listed, 1000m) on November 14, after which he was sent for a spell. He began his autumn campaign by running second in the Blue Diamond Prelude (C&G) (Gr 3, 1100m), before finishing third in the Blue Diamond Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m). He then won the Todman Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) and was last seen finishing runner-up in the Golden Slipper (Gr 1, 1200m).

The colt has won three of his seven starts and earned $1,736,075 in career prize-money and Cummings said he was happy to see Anamoe finally land a much deserved top-flight success.

"He's just come through the best of the two-year-old races that are around, he's graduated from all three of our stables and I'm just incredibly proud that he's absorbed the pressure of these Group 1s, the Blue Diamond, the Todman (Stakes), the Golden Slipper and he turns up here in absolute perfect condition," said Cummings.

"We were a bit tougher on him going to 1400 metres. In fact, I've been tough on him his whole career, and there's nothing I've thrown at him that has been too hard for him. Every time he continues to reach new heights when I raise the bar."

While unwilling to make raceday plans, Cummings did not rule out running the colt in the Champagne Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m) on April 24.

"I don't see why not, I don't see anything that will be around in the next two weeks that will threaten Anamoe in the Champagne," Cummings said.

"It just depends if we're comfortable running the horse again but I would say this, it's a long time to the Caulfield Guineas in October and if that's going to be our target race (in the spring), it wouldn't hurt to have that little strengthening run over a mile in April before we put him away for a short break."

Anamoe is out of SAJC Australasian Oaks (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Anamato (Redoute's Choice), whose three other winners are headed by Irish Listed winner Anamba (Shamardal).

Anamato herself is a half-sister to 1996 Oakleigh Plate (Gr 1, 1100m) winner Drum (Marauding) and also hails from the same family as Group 1 winners Grand Armee (Hennessy), Yourdeel (Dundeel) and Dealer Principal (Flying Spur).

In 2019 Anamato produced a colt by Darley-based sire Shooting To Win (Northern Meteor) and after missing to Kermadec (Exceed And Excel), she was covered by shuttler Blue Point (Shamardal) last November.

In winning the Group 1, Anamoe also became the 22nd top-flight winner as a broodmare sire for Arrowfield Stud's late breed-shaping sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill).

Amamoe joins Elite Street and The Quarterback as the stallion's other Group 1 winners in Australia and he is the sire of 48 stakes winners in total.

Earlier in the afternoon, Paulele (2 c ex Chatoyant by Flying Spur) kicked off what would become a lucrative afternoon for the Godolphin stable when he landed the Kindergarten Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) and in the process handed former shuttler Dawn Approach (New Approach) with his 14th stakes winner.

The two-year-old colt broke well and raced two wide for much of the contest. After kicking off the bend strongly, Paulele glided to the front and picked up impressively in the final 100 metres to post an easy two and a half length win over Anagain (Hinchinbrook). Ashema (I Am Invincible) was another half a length further back in third.

After winning his first two starts in the spring, the colt finished sixth in the Silver Slipper Stakes (Gr 2, 1100m) and was last seen running seventh in the VRC Sires' Produce Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) on March 6 and has now won three of his five starts and accrued $267,600 in career prize-money.

"He's a bit of a weapon this horse," said Cummings. "There's no doubt he was too quick for the Sires in between the Silver Slipper and today, but it was worth a crack and look if it had been a Group 2 1100 metre race on the same day he would've found himself in it.

"But he just dropped back in distance beautifully, he's quick, he's strong. He's better in the coat, he's better in himself. I think that trip down to Melbourne and back just got his preparation back on track. That was a dominant win by a colt that can go on as a three-year-old and be a pretty nice horse."

Paulele is out of four time-winning Flying Spur (Danehill) mare Chatoyant, making him a half-brother to Group 3 winner Tessera (Medaglia d'Oro), while he is a three-quarter brother to fellow Group 3 winner Montsegur (New Approach).

Chatoyant herself is out of dual-winning mare Decidity (Last Tycoon), making her a three-quarter sister to 2014 Myer Classic (registered as Empire Rose Stakes) (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Bonaria (Redoute's Choice) and Group 3-winning duo Time Out (Rory's Jester) and Legally Bay (Snippets).

Legally Bay herself produced dual Group 1 winner and now Coolmore Stud-based sire Merchant Navy (Fastnet Rock) and Group 2 scorer Jolie Bay (Fastnet Rock), while she is also the dam of Bayrock (Fastnet Rock) who produced Listed winner Hindaam (Savabeel).

Paulele joins the likes of Group 2 winner Madhmoon as Dawn Approach's other stakes winners.

In 2020 Chatoyant produced a filly by fellow Darley stallion Exosphere (Lonhro) and she was retired in 2021.

Meanwhile at Morphettville, Cummings and Godolphin were handed their third juvenile stakes winner of the day when Cloudy (2 f ex Applegate by Exceed And Excel) lead home a quinella for Darley first-season shuttler Frosted (Tapit) in the Dequetteville Stakes (Listed, 1050m) and in the process became the second stakes winner in Australia for the son of Tapit (Pulpit).

The two-year-old filly stayed on well to beat stablemate Translation (Frosted) by a head, while Isles Of Avalon (Toronado) was another nose away in third.

Cloudy is one three winners out of 2011 Ottawa Stakes (Listed, 1000m) winner Applegate (Exceed And Excel), who was purchased by Andy Williams Bloodstock for $60,000 at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in 2020.

Applegate herself is half-sister to Group 3 winner Yulalona (Dubai Destination), while the filly's third dam is Grade 1 winner Link River (Gone West).

In 2019 Applegate produced a colt by Ribchester (Iffraaj), before producing a filly by Impending (Lonhro) in 2020 and she was covered by Coolmore Stud-based sire So You Think (High Chaparral) last November.
