Trainer Greg Eurell is eyeing a tilt in the Stradbroke Handicap (Gr 1, 1400m) at Eagle Farm on June 12 with Group 3 winner Blazejowski (Dash For Cash).

Last seen finishing fifth in the C.F. Orr Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) on February 6, the six-year-old gelding tuned up for his winter targets with a 800 metre jump-out at Cranbourne.

Eurell said the dual-stakes winner would likely run first-up in Melbourne before stepping to weight-for-age in the Kingsford Smith Cup (Gr 1, 1300m) at Eagle Farm, a fortnight before the Stradbroke.

"He's going terrific at the moment, we're very happy with where he's at," Eurell told http://Racing.com

"He had three weeks off after his last run in the Orr and we've prepared him to hopefully head towards the Stradbroke.

"Ideally, he'll have one run down here and then I'd like to give him one run up there in the race over 1300 metres, two weeks before the Stradbroke.

"We were thinking about heading up with him last year but then all that rubbish (COVID) kicked in and we couldn't do anything so that put paid to that.

"The 1400 metres is ideal for him, the handicap conditions are attractive and he's very adaptable so it doesn't matter if it's wet or dry."
