Co-trainer Peter Snowden is hopeful the dry Randwick track will bring out the best in a pair of his Saturday runners, with the stable set to saddle Capitvant (Capitalist) in the Champagne Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m), while I Am Superman (Footstepsinthesand) will run in the All-Aged Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m).

Due to a wet second half of March, the Irish import I Am Superman heads into the All Aged Stakes at only his third run this autumn and his first since he landed the Ajax Stakes (Gr 2, 1500m) on March 13.

Snowden scratched the five-year-old from the Doncaster Mile (Gr 1, 1600m) due to the soft ground and has had to keep the fingers crossed the weather would turn in his favour.

"It is frustrating, when you get those wet tracks he can't bring his best to the races,'' Snowden said.

"He's a genuine horse too, he tries hard. For an Irish horse you'd think what we have here would be nothing to him but he struggles."

"I think he is going very well, I'm happy with his work at home and he looks fantastic.

"It's a good race for him, a solid race with a lot of good horses, and he deserves a crack at it.

"He seems to be getting better each prep, his only nemesis is a wet track. One day it will happen for him and I'm sure he will be good enough to win a decent race."

Meanwhile, Captivant comes into the race off the back of a third place finish behind Anamoe (Street Boss) in the Sires’ Produce Stakes (Gr 1, 1400m) on April 10 and with James Cummings choosing to send the son of Street Boss (Street Cry) for a spell instead of to the Group 1, Captivant has has his task made significantly easier.
