Aquis Farm first-season sire Divine Prophet (Choisir) chalked up his third first-crop winner on Tuesday when the Carl Spry-trained Choir Boy (2 g ex Julia's Music by Unbridled's Song) made a winning debut at Townsville.

The two-year-old gelding showed his rivals a clean pair of heels to beat Eagle Eye Star (Golden Archer) by a length and three-quarters, while Santa Marinella (Holy Roman Emperor) was another quarter of a length away in third.

Purchased by Black and White Racing for $15,000 via the Inglis Digital March Sale, the gelding is the first winner out of twice raced Unbridled's Song (Unbridled) mare Julia's Music, who is herself a daughter of Listed winner Spring Party (Smart Strike) and she is also the dam of Grade 3 scorer Marzo (Medaglia d'Oro).

Julia's Music is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Emcee (Unbridled's Song) and Grade 2 scorer Surfer (Distorted Humor) and the dam of dual Grade 1 winner and now sire Constitution (Tapit) as well as Grade 2 scorer Boynton (More Than Ready) and Grade 3 winner Jacaranda (Congrats).

In 2019 Julia's Music produced a colt by Divine Prophet's barnmate and another son of Choisir (Danehill Dancer) in The Mission, while in 2020 she produced a colt by another Aquis-based stallion; Performer (Exceed And Excel) and he will be offered as Lot 399 by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock at next month's Magic Millions Gold Coast Weanling Sale.

Choir Boy joins Bleriot and Angel Like as the stallion's other winners, while his first-crop also includes Group 3-placed filly Fortunate Kiss. Divine Prophet will stand the 2021 season at a fee of $16,500 (inc GST).
