Co-trainer Mick Price is contemplating having one more try with Odeum (Written Tycoon) this season, before focusing on a spring preparation with the Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) winner.

After finishing 12th in the Queen Of The Turf Stakes (Gr 1, 1600m), the daughter of Written Tycoon (Iglesia) had a barrier embargo placed on her, having become fractious in the starting stalls.

"I don't know what went wrong there," Price told Racing.com. "We are going to take the visors off, put a blanket on her and do some barrier work with her."

Odeum has gone to the paddock, but she could still be seen over the Queensland Carnival with the co-trainer eyeing a tilt in the Dane Ripper Stakes (Gr 2, 1300m).

"She might appear seven weeks between runs in the Dane Ripper," Price said.

Meanwhile, the stable will be on the hunt for a Group 1 this weekend with Night Raid (Vancouver) set to line up in the Robert Sangster Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m).

Despite winning a recent Echuca trial in preparation for the race, Price admitted it looks a tough task with Michael Walker booked to ride from barrier 12.

"She has had a freshen-up after she won and she has bloomed," Price said.

"We'll accept in the Sangster and be ambitious.

"She'd have to step up, but she has won a couple of black-type races and if she was to run a place in a Group 1 or even fluke winning (it'd be great)."
