Saturday's brilliant Australasian Oaks (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Media Award (Shamus Award) could now head north for a tilt in the Queensland Oaks (Gr 1, 2200m) at Eagle Farm on June 5.

Trainer Chris Calthorpe will be guided by the filly's track work rider Niall Phillips about what is the best option for the daughter of Shamus Award (Snitzel).

"At the moment, our two options are paddock or Brisbane," Calthorpe said.

"I think the Oaks in Brisbane … is probably not a bad timeframe for us, it gives us four weeks. I can organise a plane for her the Tuesday before.

"But we will let her tell us. She will have an easy week at home, just swimming, and on Friday or Saturday we will whack Niall Phillips on her, who rides her every morning, and give her a trot and canter.

"He knows her as well as I do, he sits on her every day.

"But I'd be keen to go to Brisbane, she's only had three runs this prep, 1450 metres, 1700 metres and 2000 metres, so she hasn't been overtaxed."
