Trainer David Jolly is hoping to launch a two-pronged attack at the Straight Six (Listed, 1200m) at Flemington Saturday, with the trainer set to saddle Streetcar Stranger  (Stratum) in the 1200 metre contest, while his stablemate Trip (Good Journey) will need a scratching to force her way into the field of 16.

Streetcar Stranger comes into the race having landed her two most recent starts, including on May 8 over 1100 metres at Caulfield and Jolly is looking forward to seeing how he performs on Saturday.

"It was pleasing to see him win at Caulfield but the straight is a different kettle of fish, however he's progressive and he gets in on the minimum," Jolly said.

"He's the sort of horse that runs better against better quality and he enjoys the pace on in his races.

"He's done everything right at home, so I think he deserves his chance."

Meanwhile, Trip will run in the donate@NJT.org.au Handicap (1100m) on the same card should she not make the final field for the Listed race, but Jolly believes the 1200 metre will suit her better and there is also the added bonus of black-type in the Straight Six.

"I thought the 1100 (metres) might have just been a bit sharp for her," Jolly said.

"I don't really want to run them against each other, but sometimes you're forced to.

"She's a mare, so if she runs top three, that would be useful for her profile as a broodmare later on."
