Will stand for a fee of $16,500 at Twin Hills this year

Twin Hills Stud has announced that Peltzer (So You Think) has been retired from racing and will stand at the farm for a fee of $16,500 (inc GST) this year. 

Bought for $260,000 by his co-trainer Gerald Ryan and David Raphael at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Mill Park Stud, Peltzer was unbeaten in three starts as a juvenile. 

In his three-year-old debut he finished second to Anders (Not A Single Doubt) in the San Dominico Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) and three starts later won the Stan Fox Stakes (Gr 2, 1500m). The son of So You Think (High Chaparral) then took out the rich Bondi Stakes (1600m) and first-up from a spell in February won the Eskimo Prince Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m). He retires having won six of his 13 career starts with career prize money totalling $1,053,840. 

"Peltzer is a glorious looking horse," said Olly Tait. "He has quality, strength and scope. Just lovely

"He was a top sprinter, with the class to get a mile. Furthermore, he was unbeaten in three starts as a two year old. So, he's by a great stallion but came to hand earlier and was faster than his pedigree suggested. A bit like Zabeel or Toronado. It's an excellent sign in a stallion prospect.

"We're thrilled to have him bought into him and having him standing at Twin Hills. It's hard to get your hands on a horse with these credentials."

By leading sire So You Think, who has enjoyed a successful season siring 12 individual stakes winners in Australia, Pelzer is out of the winning Elusive Quality (Gone West) mare Miss Otto who is a half-sister to stakes placed filly Miss With Attitude (Galileo), dam of multiple South African Listed winner Crown Towers (Camelot), and Listed placed Oui Si Attitude (Bianconi) who produced Listed winning filly So We Are (So You Think). 

Peltzer will stand alongside Smart Missile (Fastnet Rock), Denman (Lonhro), Hallowed Crown (Street Sense) and Odyssey Moon (Sntizel).
