Widden Stud Victoria, in collaboration with renowned horseman Matt Upton, have announced that they are launching a complete pre-training and spelling facility, available to both home and offsite clients.

With years of experience in harnessing the best results from young thoroughbreds, Matt’s resume comprises a formidable list of patrons, including Peter Sidwell of Sutton Grange, Robbie Laing, Andrew Noblet, David Moodie’s Yungaburra and most recently, a decade at Woodside Park. 

Located just 50 kilometers from Flemington, interested parties will be able to avail themselves of the modern facilities at Widden Victoria, including a high speed treadmill, water walker, 1600 metre sand track and starting gates, convenient for trainers from the surrounding area.

The facility on offer will cater for both breaking and spelling, the lush pasture and spacious, tree-lined paddocks the ideal location to freshen up or recuperate horses that are in need of time, as well as educating those embarking on their racing careers.
