Ostracised breaks his maiden at Dubbo over 1000 metres
The Kody Nestor-trained Ostracised (2 g ex Tellora by Elusive Quality) won Friday’s Maiden Plate (1000m) at Dubbo at his fourth career start and first for his new trainer, having previously been trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes, and in doing so became the seventh winner for Aquis Farm’s Divine Prophet (Choisir).
Under Tony Cavallo, Ostracised scored by Hurn Court (Outreach) by three lengths. Mighty Minnie (Magic Albert) was another two lengths back in third.
Ostracised was bought for $90,000 by Lyndhurst Farm at the 2019 Inglis Sydney Weanling Sale before realising $375,000 at last year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale when bought by Ardross Bloodstock. Kody Nestor then bought the gelding for $80,000 at the Inglis Digital June Sale.
He becomes the fifth winner, from as many named foals, out of dual winning mare Tellora (Elusive Quality) who has also produced the stakes placed pair La Tigeresa (Street Cry) and Medieval Miss (Camelot). Tellora’s Divine Prophet colt sold for $80,000 to John Foote Bloodstock on behalf of a Hong Kong-based client at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale earlier this year.
Divine Prophet’s 2021 fee at Aquis Farm has been set at $16,500 (inc GST) this year.
