Encosta De Lago mare Purple Blood produces a colt by the son of So You Think
The Bowness Stud-based D'Argento (So You Think) has produced his first foal, a colt out of Purple Blood (Encosta De Lago).
The colt is the ninth living foal out of unraced Encost De Lago (Fairy King) mare Purple Blood who has produced three winners to date including Group Three winner Sookie (Casino Prince) who is herself the dam of dual Group One winner Shadow Hero (Pierro).
Raced by Star Thoroughbreds and trained by Chris Waller, D'Argento was unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile and went on to score the biggest success of his career in the Rosehill Guineas (Gr 1, 2000m) in March in 2018. He stood his first season at stud for a fee of $16,500 (inc GST).
