Sixth Stakes Winner for Unencumbered
The late Three Bridges Thoroughbreds-based Unencumbered (Testa Rossa) recorded his sixth stakes winner on Saturday when Free Of Debt (5 g ex Stagerush by Giant's Causeway) won the W H Wylie Handicap (Listed, 1100m) at Morphettville. A $30,000 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale purchase from the draft of Phoenix Broodmare Farm by his trainer, Chris Bieg, Free Of Debt scored a half-length victory over Kemalpasa (Magnus). Unencumbered died in March 2018 and covered four books of mares between 2014 and 2017.

First Stakes Winner for Vadamos
Art De Triomphe (3 f ex Art Beat by Captain Rio) provided Rich Hill Stud shuttler Vadamos (Monsun) with his first stakes winner when she took out Saturday’s Canterbury Belle Stakes (Listed, 1200m) at Riccarton.  Trained by Andrew Carston, the Go Racing Syndicate-owned filly, a NZ$80,000 buy by Go Racing at Book 1 of the 2020 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale from the draft of Seaton Park, has now won three times and placed once in five career starts. Vadamos, who now has two crops of racing age in New Zealand, is standing for a fee of NZ$12,500 (plus GST) this year.
