The Aquis stallion roster has undergone some change since last season, but it is now set for 2023 with the Queensland operation confirming the upcoming season's fees on Tuesday.

With Pierata, Brave Smash, Divine Prophet and Dubious among those to have found homes elsewhere, Aquis will stand seven stallions at its Canungra base, headlined by Jonker.

The Manikato Stakes-winning son of Spirit Of Boom will stand his second season at $16,500, which is the same as he stood for in his debut season when he covered 115 mares, while Stronger, a Group 1-winning son of Not A Single Doubt, was last week announced as coming to Aquis at a fee of $13,750.

"We are incredibly excited for the season ahead, we are spearheaded by two good looking proper Group 1 sprinters, both by proven, colonial, speed stallions," Aquis Farm director of sales, Jonathan Davies, said.

"We cannot wait for breeders to feast their eyes on Stronger and see Jonker's first foals galloping around paddocks across Australia.

"Jonker covered the best book of mares a first season stallion has covered on this farm.

"Prudent breeders will of course note that and breeding to Jonker this season will prove an astute move. With the service fee increase to his sire Spirit of Boom, at his fee, Jonker is an attractive option for breeders looking to tap into the sire line."

Zoustar's son Lean Mean Machine will stand for $13,200, which is a reduction on last year's $17,600, while Invader, a son of Snitzel, celebrated his first Group 1 winner when Sunshine In Paris won this year's Surround Stakes but has had his fee halved from $22,000 to $11,000.

The Mission has also had a slight reduction, from $11,000 to $8800, the same fee that will be asked for Glenfiddich and Kobayashi, who remain unchanged from 2022.
