A colt by Australia's top stallion from one of the best-bred mares in the country was one of the early stars of John Singleton's highly-anticipated Strawberry Hill Dispersal Sale, which was conducted by Magic Millions on Tuesday.

The yearling colt by reigning two-time Australian Champion Sire I Am Invincible out of Miss Fabulass sold for $950,000.

Miss Fabulass is a daughter of Frankel and former champion filly Samantha Miss, who herself won a Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes and placed in a Group 1 Coolmore Classic.

The colt was bought by the partnership of Kia Ora Stud and TFI.

A half-sister to Miss Fabulass was another headline act in the first hour of selling with Jim Carey going to $450,000 for the yearling filly by Pierro out of Samantha Miss.

Others to do well early were a yearling colt by Frankel out of Key who sold for $700,000 and a two-year-old Pierro filly from VRC Oaks winner Dear Demi who realised $525,000.
