Third stakes win for Winter Power
The Tim Easterby-trained Winter Power (3 f Bungle Inthejungle - Titian Saga by Titus Livius) picked up her three-year-old season where she left off her juvenile one last year, with a victory in the Westow Stakes (Listed, 5f) at York on Thursday. The daughter of Bungle Inthejungle (Exceed And Excel) signed off her juvenile career with a victory in the Cornwallis Stakes (Gr 3, 5f) at Newmarket in September, having landed the Harry Rosebery Stakes (Listed, 5f) on her previous start and her record now stands at five wins from ten starts. Bungle Inthejungle has sired five stakes winners in total, including Winter Power and he stands at Rathasker Stud, where his fee in 2021 was advertised as €8,000.

Second Listed win for Liberty London
Having taken out the Prix du Groupe Carrus (Listed, 2400m) last year, Liberty London (4 m Maxios - Ledicea by Medicean) added a second black-type contest to her record when she landed the Grand Prix Trial (Listed, 1750m) at Dortmund on Thursday. Trained by Waldemar Hickst, the four-year-old mare beat Potemkin (New Approach) into second, while Red Hot (Siyouni) finished third. The mare is one of ten stakes winners for Maxios (Monsun) and they include Australian Group 3 winner Master Of Wine.

14 for Sea The Moon
Lanwades Stud-based sire Sea The Moon (Sea The Stars) was provided with his 14th stakes winner courtesy of Noble Music’s (5 m ex Noble Lady by Sholokhov) victory in the Prix Gold River (Listed, 2800m) at Longchamp on Thursday. Purchased by Alex Elliot for €40,000 at the Baden Baden September Yearling Sale in 2017, the five-year-old mare came into the race off the back of a third place finish in the Prix Zarkava (Listed, 2100m) at Longchamp on April 11. Sea The Moon’s stakes winners are headed by Group 1 winner Alpine Star.

In Swoop gets back to winning ways
Last year’s Deutsches Derby (German Derby) winner In Swoop (4 c Adlerflug - Iota by Tiger Hill) returned to winning ways when he landed the Prix d'Hedouville (Gr 3, 2400m) at Longchamp on Thursday. The four-year-old colt was runner-up in both the Grand Prix de Paris (Gr 1, 2400m) and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr 1, 2400m) last season and he opened his account as a four-year-old when finishing second in the Prix Lord Seymour (Listed, 2400m) at Longchamp on April 18. But he returned to the winners’ enclosure on Thursday when he defeated The Good Man (Manduro) by a length and a quarter, while Sublimis (Shamardal) was a further length and a half away in third. In Swoop is one of 17 stakes winners and five Group 1 winners for Adlerflug (In The Wings), who stood at Gestut Schlenderhan until his untimely death earlier this year.
