Widden Stud shittler National Defense (Invincible Spirit) notched up his fifth winner from his first European-bred crop when Boracay (2 f ex Bellechance by Acclamation) broke her maiden over 1000 metres at Pisa on Saturday.

Boracay is out of the winning mare Bellechance (Acclamation) she is her second winner from as many runners.

National Defense has produced the Queen Mary Stakes (Gr 2, 5f) runner-up Twilight Gleaming. He is based at the Irish National Stud in the northern hemisphere and he shuttles to Widden's Victorian farm where his 2021 fee is set at  $9,900 (Inc GST).
