First foal out Niarchos-owned four time Group 1 winner.

Alpha Centauri (Mastercraftsman), who won four Group 1 races as a three-year-old including the 2018 Irish 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m), has foaled her first foal, a colt by Galileo (Sadler's Wells). 

On Saturday Coolmore tweeted photos of Alpha Centauri and her colt, who were both bred by the Niarchos family. 

The Jessie Harrington-trained daughter of Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer) was crowned European champion three-year-old in 2018 in a year which saw her win the Coronation Stakes (Gr 1, 1m), Prix Jacques Le Marois (Gr 1, 1600m) and Falmouth Stakes (Gr 1, 1m) in addition to her Classic victory. 

Alpha Centauri is a half-sister to Alpine Star (Sea The Moon) who was a Group 2 winner at two last year as well as Listed winner Tenth Star (Dansili). Her second dam is three-time Group 1 winner East Of The Moon (Private Account) who is herself a half-sister to Kingmambo (Mr Prospector) and Miesque's Son (Mr Prospector) being out of Miesque (Nureyev).
