The Shadwell Stud-raced Raabihah (3 f ex Garmoosha by Kingmambo) advertised her Classic potential with a victory in the Prix de la Seine (Listed, 2200m) at ParisLongchamp on Thursday and in the process provided Gilltown Stud-based Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) with his 61st stakes winner.

Having broken her maiden over 2000 metres at Cagnes-sur-Mer in January, the Jean-Claude Rouget-trained filly clearly appreciated the step up in trip, scooting clear inside the final stages to beat American Apples (American Post) by an impressive four lengths.

It was no surprise to see the daughter of Sea The Stars thrive over the longer distance with her second dam Eswarah (Unfuwain) and third dam Midway Lady (Alleged) both being Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winners.

Midway Lady, who also landed the Prix Marcel Boussac (Gr 1, 1600m) and 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m), is the dam of Group 3 winner Itnab (Green Desert) - the dam of Listed winner Alazeyab (Green Desert), while she also foaled Listed scorer Umniyatee (Green Desert) - the dam of Yes Brook (All American).

Further back this is the same family as Grade 1 winner Maltes (Red Runner) and Listed-winning duo Gran Lioness (Lion Hunter) and Maritta Sangrita (Johar).

The filly is out of Kingmambo (Mr. Prospector) mare Garmoosha and she becomes the sixth stakes winner bred on the Kingmambo / Sea The Stars cross, which includes Group 1 winners Cloth Of Stars and Zelzal. This is one of the more potent nicks with all 13 of the Sea The Stars’ runners out of Kingmambo mares winners and it fires at a strike rate of around 38 per cent stakes runners to winners.

Sea The Stars - whose progeny is headed by 13 Group 1 winners including this season’s Australian Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Fifty Stars - stands at the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud for a fee of €150,000.
