Bonne Idee impresses at Lyon Parilly
Bonne Idee (3 f ex Mirror Lake by Dubai Destination) led throughout over 2000 metres at Lyon Parilly on Monday to break her maiden at her second start. The well-bred daughter of Frankel (Galileo), a half-sister to Australian stakes winners in Imaging (Oasis Dream) and Super Titus (Dansili), quickened away well from a modest field to score by a facile six and a half lengths under Pierre-Charles Boudot for leading trainer Andre Fabre and owner Khalid Abdullah.
Bonne Idee holds Group One entries including the Prix de Diane (French Oaks) (Gr 1, 2100m) and Prix Saint-Alary (Gr 1, 2100m). These goals look lofty at this stage but she has inherited a huge amount of ability from her family and looks a stakes quality filly for the future.
Her dam Mirror Lake (Dubai Destination) was a dual Listed winner in England up to a 1m4f and she is the dam of five named foals who are now all winners led by Ajax Stakes (Gr 2, 1500m) winner Imaging. Further back in the family is Australian Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) winner Harlem (Champs Elysees).
