Having sired his 19th stakes winner at Leopardstown on Tuesday, Juddmonte Farms’ sire Kingman (Invincible Spirit) continued his excellent form when Chachnak (3 c ex Tamazirte by Danehill Dancer) landed the Prix De Guiche (Gr 3, 1800m) at Chantilly on Wednesday.

Last seen finishing third in the Prix La Force (Gr 3, 1800m) last month, the three-year-old colt came out on top of a close finish to beat Hurricane Cloud (Frankel) by half a length with another head back to Another Sky (Le Havre) in third. The well-fancied San Fabrizio (Siyouni) had no luck in running and finished last of the six runners.

The colt is out of the Group 2-winning Danehill Dancer (Danehill) Tamazirte, making him a half-brother to Listed-winning filly Into The Mystic (Galileo).

Tamazirte herself is out of Tanami Desert (Lycius), who is herself a half-sister to Group 2 winner Cairns (Cadeaux Genereux) and the dam of Listed scorer Happy Power (Dark Angel).

The colt also shares a page with Group 1 winner Wannabe Grind (Danehill), Group 3 winner Wannabe Better (Duke Of Marmalade) - the dam of Listed winner Lady Wannabe (Camelot) and Listed winner Wannabe Posh (Grand Lodge), who in turn produced Group 3 winner Wannabe Yours (Dubawi).

This is also the family of Listed-winning trio Pirateer (Danehill Dancer), Tannaaf (High Chaparral) and Preening (Dutch Art).

Kingman’s stakes winners is headed by Group 1 winner Persian King and he will be represented in Australia this season by his Group 2-winning son Calyx, who will stand at Coolmore Stud in the Hunter Valley for a fee of $17,600 (inc GST).
