Miami Joy (2 c ex Red Blooded Woman by Red Ransom) provided one-time Twin Hills shuttler Bobby’s Kitten (Kitten’s Joy) with his second winner when taking out the British Stallion Studs EBF Median Auction Maiden Stakes (7f) at Kempton on Wednesday.

The colt defeated the Mark Johnston-trained joint favourite Night Moment (Amaron) by a short head with another length and three quarters back to Rommel (Helmet) in third.

Trained by Ismail Mohammed, the colt was bought for £6,000 at the 2019 Goffs UK Doncaster Yearling Sale by Rabbah Bloodstock. He becomes the seventh winner for Red Ransom (Roberto) mare Red Blooded Woman who is a half-sister to Group 3 winner California (Azamour). The colt’s third dam is Listed winner Majinskaya (Marignan), the grandam of Haunui Farm shuttler Belardo (Lope De Vega).

Winner of the 2014 Breeder’s Cup Sprint (Gr 1, 6.5f) where he defeated No Nay Never (Scat Daddy), Bobby’s Kitten stood at Twin Hills for just one season in 2017 when he covered 42 mares.

Based at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, he stood for a fee of £8,000 this year and is the only son of Kitten’s Joy (El Prado) standing at stud in England and Ireland.
