Son of Invincible Spirit stands at Kelvinside for $11,000
Darley shuttler Territories (Invincible Spirit) grabbed his second first-crop winner as the Kevin Ryan-trained Uncle Jumbo (2 g ex Gone Sailing by Mizzen Mast) landed the EBF maiden over six furlongs at Doncaster on Sunday.
The two-year-old gelding got up in the final stages to beat Significantly (Garswood) by a short-head with another two lengths back to Collinsbay (Cable Bay) in third.
The gelding was purchased by Grove Stud for 31,000gns as a foal at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale in 2018, before being bought by K&J Bloodstock for £40,000 when reoffered as a yearling Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale the following year.
Uncle Jumbo is out of the unraced Mizzen Mast (Cozzene) mare making him a half-brother Listed winner Major Jumbo (Zebedee).
The gelding's third dam is Group 1 winner Prophecy (Warning) - the dam multiple Group 1 winner Foreteller (Dansili) and Group 2 winner Modern Look (Zamindar), who in turn produced Group 3 winner Grand Jete (Dansili).
Prophecy also produced Listed winner Arabesque (Zafonic) - the dam of Group 2 winner and former shuttler Showcasing (Oasis Dream) and Listed scorer Camacho (Danehill).
Meanwhile, she is the grandam of Group 3 winner Shutter Speed (Dansili) and New Zealand Group 2 winner Fix (Iffraaj).
Uncle Jumbo joins Rougir as Territories other winner and he will stand at Darley's Kelvinside base for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) in 2020, his fourth season of shuttling.
