Wakanaka wins Premio Vittorio Crespi

Oaklands Stud-based Power (Oasis Dream) sired his 12th stakes winner courtesy of Wakanaka’s (2 f ex Storyline by Kodiac) win in the Premio Vittorio Crespi (Listed, 1200m) at Milan. 

The two-year-old filly beat Fulgentia (Territories) into second with Permetti (Helmet) coming home in third.  

Purchased by Diego Dettori for £3,500 at the 2019 Goffs UK Doncaster Silver Yearling Sale, Wakanaka is the only winner out of Kodiac (Danehill) mare Storyline. 

The filly’s third dam produced Group 3 winner Whitbarrow (Royal Abjar), who is half-sister to Listed winner Lady Valeur (Multiplex).

Power’s stakes winners are headed by Group 2 winning pair Gift Of Power, who won the Wakefield Challenge Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) and La Force and he will stand for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) at the Queensland-based stud this season.
