The Henri-Alex Pantall-trained Restiany (3 c ex Restiadargent by Kendargent) led from pillar to post to win the Prix De Saint-Patrick (Listed, 1600m) at Saint-Cloud on Sunday and in the process became the 55th stakes winner for Juddmonte Farms-based stallion Frankel (Galileo).

Last seen running second at Lyon-Parilly on June 6, Restiany was quick out of the stalls and headed straight to the front, where he stayed, beating Twist (Pivotal) by a length and a half with another length back to Arapaho (Lope De Vega) in third.

The three-year-old colt is out of Group 3-winner Restiadargent (Kendargent), who finished third behind Black Caviar (Bel Esprit) in the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Gr 1, 6f), and is one of three winners for the mare.

Restiadargent herself is a sister to Listed scorer Restiana, while the colt’s third dam is Listed winner Restifia (Night Shift).

Frankel sired his fourth stakes winner in Australia on Saturday when Frankely Awesome won the WJ McKell Cup (Listed, 2000m) at Rosehill. His other stakes winners in Australia are Group 2 winners Miss Fabulass and Hungry Heart, while Juddmonte homebred Finche was victorious in a Group 3 in Australia adding to his Group 2 win in France.

Frankel stood at Juddmonte Farm's Banstead Manor base in Newmarket for a fee of £175,000 in 2020. The son of Galileo is represented in the southern hemisphere by his son Eminent, who will stand at Brighthill Farm in New Zealand for a fee of NZ$7,500 (plus GST) in 2020.
