Having sired his 69th stakes winner on Saturday, former Windsor Park shuttler Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer) chalked up his 70th stakes winner on Sunday as the Peter Schiergen-trained Quian (4 c ex Quiana by Monsun) landed the Hoppegartener Steher-Preis (Listed, 2800m).

The four-year-old colt came into the race off the back of two victories and he beat Ida Alata (Alderflug) into second, while All For Rome (Holy Roman Emperor) finished third.

Purchased by his trainer for €54,000 BBAG September Yearling Sales, the colt is out of winning mare Quiana, who is herself a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Quijano (Acatenango).

Further afield this is the same family as Group 1 winner Solemia (Poliglote) and New Zealand Listed winner Savile Row (Makfi).

The son of Danehill Dancer (Danehill) previously shuttled to Windsor Park and he now stands exclusively at Coolmore Stud where his fee in 2020 was advertised as €25,000.
