Acapulco Gold blitzes rivals in Vichy

The Fabrice Chappet-trained Acapulco Gold (2 f ex Velvet Revolver by Mujahid) ran out a ready winner of the Priz Des Reves D’Or (Listed, 1000m) in Vichy and in the process handed the Rathasker Stud-based Bungle Inthejungle (Exceed And Excel) with his fourth stakes winner. 

Last seen running fifth on debut, the two-year-old pulled clear to beat Night Hunting (Amarillo) into second with Pietra Giallo (Evasive) finishing third.

The filly is out of Group 3-placed Velvet Revolver (Mujahid), making her a half-sister to three winners including stakes-placed Ken Colt (Kendargent). 

Further back this is the family of Listed scorer Noble Hero (Daggers Drawn) - the dam of dual Group 3 winner Noble Hachy (Kyllachy). 

Bungle Inthejungle’s progeny is headed by Lowther Stakes (Gr 2, 6f) winner Living In The Past and he stood at Rathasker Stud for a fee of €12,000 in 2020.
