Former Coolmore Stud shuttler Pride Of Dubai (Street Cry) - was crowned Australia’s leading first season sire last season - was provided with his third northern hemisphere winner on Tuesday when Happiness Therapy (2 f ex Mizayin by Clodovil) broker her maiden over 1500 metres in Rome, which saw the stallion’s global tally of winners swell to 17.

The two-year-old filly beat Thrinax (Brazen Beau) into second, while Bocca Di Rosa (Free Eagle) came home in third.

Purchased by her trainer Alduino Botti for €11,500 at the 2019 Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sales, the filly is out of nine time winning Clodovil (Danehill) mare Mizayin, who is herself a half-sister to stakes-placed Fann (Diesis) - the dam of Listed-winning Teofilo (Galileo) gelding Black Arrow.

Meanwhile, the filly’s third dam is Stormette (Assert), who in turn produced Grade 1 scorer Storm Trooper (Diesis) and Group 3 winner Marillette (Diesis).

Further back this is the same family as Grade 3 winners Closing Range (After Market) and Stupendous Miss (Dynaformer), the dam of Grade 2 winner Do It All (Distorted Humor) and Listed scorer Tales Of Grimm (Distorted Humor).

Pride Of Dubai is the sire of three stakes winners; Bella Nipotina and Tanker from his first crop in Australia and Star Of Emaraaty - from his first northern hemisphere crop.

The son of Street Cry (Machiavellian) shuttled to Ireland for three seasons and now stands exclusively at Coolmore Jerrys Plains base where his fee for this breeding season is $38,500 (inc GST).
