The George Boughey-trained Mirage Mac (2 f ex Megachurch by Pulpit) made the perfect start to her career when getting up in the dying strides to win the Watch Free Race Replays On attheraces.com Fillies' Novice Auction Stakes (7f) at Wolverhampton on Wednesday and in the process handed former Twin Hills-based stud shuttler Bobby’s Kitten (Kitten’s Joy) with his seventh winner.

The two-year-old filly flew home to collar Morjhana (Dabirsim) in the shadow of the winning post, eventually beating her by a head, while longtime leader and pre-race favourite Desert Vision (Oasis Dream) finished another length and a half away in third.

Purchased by Sam Haggas’ Hurworth Bloodstock for 22,000gns at Book 3 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, the filly is the fourth winner out of three time-winning Pulpit (A.P. Indy) mare Megachurch.

Megachurch herself is out of Listed winner Minimalist (Dynaformer) making her a sister to Grade 2 winner Unitarian, while she is a half-sister to the dam of Grade 3 winner Strict Compliance (Into Mischief) and Listed scorer Tiree (Glacken).

Meanwhile, further afield the filly’s third dam is Listed winner Gdansk’s Honor (Danzig) and she is the grandam of Grade 1 winner General Quarters (Sky Mesa) and Grade 2 winner A Shin Top (Tale Of The Cat).

Bobby’s Kitten shuttled to Australia for one season in 2017 and now resides exclusively at Lanwades Stud where his in 2020 was advertised as £8,000.
