The Andre Fabre-trained Queen Of Love (3 f ex Extricate by Exceed And Excel) handed her sire Kingman (Invincible Spirit) his 24th stakes winner on Friday when she landed the Prix Coronation (Listed, 1600m) at Saint-Cloud.

Owned by Lady Bamford, the three-year-old filly was last seen breaking her maiden at Deauville on May 24 and she had no problems with the long break and the step into stakes company, beating Speak Of The Devil (Wootton Bassett) by a length and three-quarters, while Bionic Woman (Lope De Vega) was the same distance away in third.

The filly was purchased by Longways Stables for €125,000 at the 2018 Goffs Ireland Orby Yearling Sale, before being purchased by Charlie Gordon-Watson Bloodstock for €650,000 Arqana Deauville May 2yo Breeze-Up the following year.

The three-year-old filly is out of two time-winning Exceed And Excel (Danehill) mare Extricate, who also produced German Listed winner Dark Liberty (Dark Angel).

Extricate herself is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Entangle (Pivotal), who in turn produced Listed winner Dalarna (K One King), while she also the counts the dams of Group 3 winner Miss Work Of Art (Dutch Art) and Tapisserie (Le Havre) among her half-siblings.

Further back, the filly’s third dam is Listed scorer Splice (Sharpo), who in turn produced Lowther Stakes (Gr 2, 6f) winner Soar (Danzero), Listed winner Feet So Fast (Pivotal) and the dam of fellow Listed scorer Burning (Captain Rio).

Juddmonte Farms’ Kingman will be represented in Australia this season by his Group 2-winning son Calyx, who is standing at Coolmore Stud in the Hunter Valley for a fee of $17,600 (inc GST).

Meanwhile, the victory provided Darley’s Exceed And Excel (Danehill) with his 46th stakes winner as a broodmare sire.
